The research of the determining factors for the adoption of the technique of microdosing of fertilizers was at the center of this research. It was carried out through an analysis of the perception of producers vis-à-vis the proposed technologies (peasant practice, popularized dose; recommended dose and microdose) and the determination of the factors for adopting them. She used the matrix scoring method which showed that the microdose is the best appreciated of the three technologies, it is preferred in order of ranking 1 by 67% of the producers. To determine the socio-economic factors determining the adoption of the microdose technique, two approaches were used. A descriptive approach based on the descriptive analysis of the responses of producers on the factors affecting the producer's decision to use the microdose which revealed that mainly the high demand for labor and the arduousness associated with the application of the microdose affect the uptake of this technique. In addition, an econometric approach based on a binary probabilistic regression model was used: the probit model.
The results reveal that the sex of the producer, the age and the status (beneficiary or not beneficiary of field schools) of the producers are factors which affect the adoption of microdose by the producers. These results indicate that policies to encourage microdosing adoption should shift towards the establishment of mechanized and flexible techniques for microdosing application. Also, it would be necessary to set up the warrantage system to ensure a good flow of the productions and to allow the securing of the income of the producers.
