Evaluation de l’effet insectifuge des vinaigres de bois sur les performances agronomiques de la tomate en Côte d’Ivoire

Résumé

En Côte d’Ivoire, la culture de la tomate (Solanum lycopersicum L.) est soumise à de
fortes pressions parasitaires, conduisant à un recours intensif aux insecticides de
synthèse. Bien qu’efficaces, ces produits posent des risques environnementaux et
sanitaires, justifiant la recherche d’alternatives durables. Cette étude a évalué
l’efficacité des vinaigres de bois en tant qu’insectifuges et biostimulants en conditions
de plein champ à Yamoussoukro. Deux vinaigres de bois (V1 et V2) ont été appliqués
à trois dilutions (1 :100, 1 :200 et 1 :300) et comparés à un insecticide de synthèse (K-
Optimal 35 EC) et à un témoin non traité. Les résultats montrent que V2 à la dilution
1:100 a totalement supprimé les attaques d’insectes (0,00 %), avec une efficacité
comparable à celle de l’insecticide chimique. Par ailleurs, V2 aux dilutions 1:200 et
1:300 a significativement amélioré la croissance végétative, notamment le diamètre
au collet (13,56 mm) et la surface foliaire (1453,79 cm²), révélant un effet biostimulant
marqué. Les traitements à base de vinaigres de bois ont permis de doubler le
rendement par rapport au témoin non traité (14,17 à 19,54 t/ha contre 7,62 t/ha), bien
que ces valeurs restent inférieures à celles obtenues avec K-Optimal (32,92 t/ha). En
revanche, les vinaigres de bois ont significativement prolongé la durée de
conservation post-récolte des fruits (21 à 25 jours), comparativement au témoin (7
jours) et à l’insecticide de synthèse (15 jours). Ces résultats confirment le potentiel
des vinaigres de bois comme intrants agroécologiques prometteurs, dont l’efficacité
dépend étroitement de la concentration et des modalités d’application
