Abstract

The urogenital embryonic rhabdomyosarcoma is an extremely rare malignant tumor appearing to young child and young woman. Its corporeal uterine location is exceptional.

We refer to F. S's case, 11 years old, admitted for sporadic pelvic pains and pelvic mass without metror ragical notion. The ultrasound pointed out a tissular tumor interesting the body of uterus. No other locoregional tumorous expansion sign was notice at the ultrasound.

A laparotomy has been made ten days after F.S's admission. It revealed an inextricable uterine tumor strongly stuck to the left ovary, urging us to practice a subtotal hysterectomy, removing the left ovary. The anotomo-pathological test revealed an embryonic rhabdomyosarcoma.

After a literature review, we reconsidered the appearance mode, this tumor development, the current methods of treatment and the caring obstacles in Burkina Faso.
