Une composante de la qualité des services, à savoir le point de vue des usagers sur le service de gynécologie et d'obstétrique, a été évaluée à l'hôpital de district de Kossodo, au Burkina Faso. Cette évaluation a été réalisée par interview de cent clients du l^er au 30 novembre 2000. Il ressort de cette étude :

• une bonne accessibilité des services de santé de la reproduction ;
• une utilisation des services entravée par un temps d'attente long (23 %) et l'absence d'un service d'accueil et d'information ;
• une interaction clients-prestataires émaillée par un accueil de mauvaise qualité (38 %) et des renseignements fournis sur le diagnostic, le traitement et le suivi incomplets (16 %).

One component of the services quality, which is the users‘opinion on the gynecology and obstetrics services has been assessed in Kossodo district hospital (Burkina Faso). This assessment has been achieved through an interview of one hundred patients from November l" to 30'• 2000. From this study it results :

• a good accessibility of reproduction health services ;
• a use of services hindered by :
  • a long waiting time : 23 % ;
  • the Jack of welcome and information servi
• an interaction of patients-service providers studded with :
  • a bad welcome : 38 %
  • inquiries supplied for the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring which are incomplete : 16%. At the end of Chis survey , we make the following recommendations :
• A training of the health  agents i n  interpersonal  communication  ;

- The setting up of an echography department ;

- The establishment of a reception and inquiry service;

- The building of sufficient substructures: waiting room, consultation wards.
