Cet article fait l’état des lieux de l’orientation scolaire et professionnelle au Burkina Faso en présentant les dispositifs existants, les acteurs et les pratiques. Il s’interroge sur les contraintes du choix individuel de formation dans le contexte scolaire et social spécifique du Burkina Faso. En effet, un ensemble de contraintes à la fois familiale, institutionnelle et sociale s’exercent sur l’individu et posent de ce fait la question de son rôle dans la construction de son projet d’étude et de profession.
Entre nécessité, contradictions et contraintes, l’orientation « cherche encore sa voie » entre le besoin de créer des outils de travail et les questions de formation des personnels d’accompagnement (conseillerspsychologues) et la visibilité à donner à ce secteur du système éducatif.

This item is the state of educational and vocational guidance in Burkina Faso by presenting existing mechanisms, actors and practices. He wondered about the constraints of individual choice training school in the context of specific social and Burkina Faso. Indeed, a set of constraints to both family, institutional and social demands on the individual and therefore pose the question of its role in the construction of its draftstudy and occupation.
