Cet article décrit le processus de francisation du Togo à travers l’introduction et l’enracinement de l’enseignement francophone après la période d’occupation. Il est montré et analysé en deux phases les actions entreprises en ce sens. D’abord, la logique de diffusion et de généralisation de l’école sur l’ensemble du
Togo entre 1921 et 1928 a été abordée. Ensuite, il a été étudié le processus d’élévation du niveau de formation qui a conduit à une exclusion des élèves les plus faibles entre 1928 et 1931. Enfin, il a été effleuré l’impact de la crise économique (qui commença à toucher le territoire à partir de 1931) sur le processus
d’extension de l’enseignement.

This article describes the Gallicizing process of Togo through introduction and rooting of French speaking teaching after occupation period. Actions set about in that regard are shown and analyzed in two phases. First, the logic of spreading and generalization of school all over Togo between 1921 and 1928 has been approached. Then, the process of raising the training standard that led to an exclusion of weaker students between 1928 and 1931 has been studied. Finally, the impact of economic crisis (that started affecting Togo from 1931) on the teaching extension process has been lightly touched.
