La seule étude sur la syntaxe du créole de guinée-Bissau est celle de Kihm (1994), menée dans le
cadre de la théorie de la grammaire générative et transformationnelle. Pour combler cette lacune, cet
article se donne donc comme objectif de procéder à une analyse syntaxique des constituants de la proposition
en créole bissau-guinéen fondée sur une approche structurale qui s’inspire du "Plan de description
systématique des langues négro-africaines" de Houis (1977). L’analyse porte sur les schèmes d’énoncés
révélateurs qui ont été inventoriés. Cette démarche a permis de décrire l’ordre et la fonction des
constituants syntaxiques. L’examen des mécanismes qui rendent possible le passage d’un énoncé à
une proposition à un énoncé à plusieurs propositions a servi à établir une typologie des propositions,
compte tenu des classes sémantiques des marques de syndèse. Les notions de valence et de transitivité
ont été abordées lors du traitement de la prédication verbale.

The only study on the Creole syntax of guinea-Bissau is that of Kihm (1994), carried out within the
framework of the theory of generative and transformational grammar. In order to fill this gap, this article
aims at a syntactic analysis of the constituents of the proposition in guinea-Bissau Creole based on a
structural approach based on the "Systematic description of Negro-African languages" of Houis (1977).
The analysis focuses on the schemas of revealing statements that have been inventoried. This approach
allowed us to describe the order and function of syntactic constituents. The examination of the mechanisms
that make possible the transition from a statement to a proposition to a statement with several propositions
has served to establish a typology of the propositions, taking into account the semantic classes of
the syndesis marks. The notions of valence and transitivity were discussed during the treatment of verbal
preaching.
